Let's talk about a HOT topic: Skin and zinc.

But first, a disclaimer 🤚🏾. I am not a doctor or dermatologist, so if you have specific questions about skin conditions, please see a trained specialist. 

Why am I sharing about this topic then? The li A quick Google, Instagram or TikTok search might convince you to remove an obscene amount of food or food ingredients from your diet to "heal your skin". 🧐 Often what I see is that this can trigger or perpetuate an eating disorder, or, dis Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's...maskne?

Let's be real. The past two years and a bit has been HELLA stressful, which is enough to make anyone's skin break out. For the next while, I'm going to dive into the role nutrition plays in the health o Important moments and fun memories. Most of all, I wore white 🤍🤍 pants with a white blazer for the first time in my motherhood. #iykyk 

Here’s to a spring and summer full of bike rides, ice cream 🍦 and adventure. Sometimes, we can get wrapped up in the culture of "what not to eat". In my practice, I try not to focus on this unless we're doing a strategic elimination, otherwise, I prefer to focus on provision of food...what foods CAN WE ADD more of t Yes, there is such a day. I am a freaking here for it. #HummusDay 

Are you a hummus fan? How do you enjoy it most? Am I the only one who gets a little grumpy if I don’t get enough fibre?? 😖 It’s probably got more to do with being constipated than anything else, if I’m being honest… ‘Cranky-pated’, as they say.

Mhmm, yes. They just might, but it’s really not a big deal. Trust me, I struggled with this one for a long time. Even as an adult! I always thought my kids would fi The diet industry is worth $70 billion 💸 and counting. If money is power, that's a force to be reckoned with 🌪️.

Diet culture is indeed a force, but not a good one. It's extremely pervasive and to sum it up in one sentence, diet culture is a SYSTE There’s something we need to talk about ♥️.
 
Eating when you’re feeling XYZ emotion, is a part of normal eating.
As a Dietitian, it isn’t problematic to me unless it’s problematic to my patient.
